Mei and Serena came back from Adelaide to assist us to tidy up our heritage house in Malacca.

The senior room is being furnished.

SUCCESSFUL AV PROJECTION ON 10' x 10' WALL SCREEN

Using a projector wired to a DVD player and speakers, we have successfully tested our 10' x 10' wall screen.

In the future, creative designers can present their short documentaries, power point presentation etc. for live discussion.

WEBCAMS INSTALLED IN OUR HERITAGE HOME

After 90 years, our family heritage home in Malacca has been wirelessly wired up with webcams.

Now, family members residing overseas can monitor our heritage home by accessing these cameras by the Internet.

WEBCAMS TO BE MOUNTED IN MALACCA FOR MONITORING

Wireless router has been tested with webcams connected.

The next phase is to deploy the wireless router in Malacca.

One webcam will be mounted in the ground floor main hall connected to the LAN port of the wireless router.

The second will be a redundant smartphone with camera mounted upstairs. It will use wifi connection to our wireless router for Internet.

To monitor this camera, a Cloud video application is used.

Both of these cameras can be monitored from any where in the world via the Internet.

This is the first time we will be able to see our family home in 90 years.

TESTING WIRELESS ROUTER WITH WEBCAM BEFORE DEPLOYMENT IN MALACCA

Our wireless router using prepaid wireless sim card was collected this morning from Lazada Express delivery station at Taman Midah.

Tested it out in the afternoon in an office without any WiFi connection.

By doing so, we want to know that our Internet access was by our wireless router using our prepaid Sim card.

After getting the correct password from the vendor of this router, sure enough, we got it connected to the Net.

Next, we connected a webcam by LAN cable to the router.

Through cloud connection, we were able to view the contents by using a smartphone.

Deployment in Malacca of this router will be done next week.

GUTTER DOWNPIPE IN MAIN AIRWELL INTO RETENTION TANK

We have made the final downpipe from the gutter into the retention pond.

ADDED CURTAIN, DRAIN TRAP AT SENIOR ROOM AND LED LIGHT

Yesterday, we put in a curtain between the senior room and the WC area.

With  the curtain mounted, there is some privacy.

At the same time, we added a drain trap below the wash basin.

An LED light was mounted at the wall giving a brightly lit washroom as well.
