RENOVATION WORKS IN MALACCA FINISHED IN 18 MONTHS
After one and half years, most major renovation works in Malacca have been completed. The renovation works began in March 2017.
However, our main contractor did not complete his works after doing 80% of the contracted works. They did not do a good job on the main airwell gutter system, mid gutter above AV room, painting works and other works.
We had to do corrective works especially on the leaking main airwell gutter system.
We decided to do a new gutter system to channel the rain water to the front of the shophouse which solved the overflow and flooding rear drain.
For safety reasons, the old wiring has been replaced with new electrical wiring in conduits for both the ground floor and upstairs.
Upstairs, we added laminated floor boards in all the 4 rooms except the corridor area. An attached WC and shower cubicle was done next to the heritage room.
The 4 rooms ( Front upstairs room, heritage room, 2nd. room and rear room ) are all air conditioned.
At least 10 persons can be accommodated upstairs.
Our upstairs creative space has also been upgraded by putting in laminated floor boards over the original floor boards.
Rear WC and Shower space have been tiled up with instant hot water shower installed.
For the ground floor, the main airwell area has been repainted. The ground main room side panels have been changed as the old plywood panels have been attacked by termites.
A new air conditioned room for seniors was constructed with wheelchair access. A WC with shower was made as well.
Above the senior room, the former store room has been transformed into an audio visual room plus a guest room.
For the rear car park, we now have a private car parking with an automatic roller shutter door.
A new WC was also added.
Finally, we have a wireless router with 2 webcams installed for the main hall and the second hall where our dining and sitting area.
By doing so, we can monitor the premises remotely by using our mobile phones from overseas.
With the wireless router, we are also to access the Internet using our handphones and laptops as well.
Minor works must now be done by storing up old books and to display some artefacts in our display cupboards.

EYES ARE BACK IN OPERATION
Our webcams in Malacca are back in operation today.
We made a day trip to Malacca today. The Prolink router is operating but the connection to the Internet is not working.
Restarted the router and took out the Sim card and put it back.
Now, back in operation.
Also, took down the Yes router and put it upstairs to test it. Also, working now and you can see the Yes wireless router and the TP Link webcam below.

EYES OUT IN MALACCA
Our eyes are out in Malacca premises recently.
Most likely the power to our Prolink router is off.
As such our fixed TP Link webcam is not operating.
At the same time, our Heier mobile night vision camera is off as well.
When we go down next time, we need to check the router.
