We completed the public WC with wash basin today.

Shower area is being tiled up and the senior room floor level has been levelled for easier wheelchair access.

Soon, our senior room designed for wheelchair access and to shower area will be completed.

Our upstairs WC and shower room have been upgraded.

Wall tiles and non slip floor tiles have been installed.

AN ARTEFACT FROM OUR PAST

During our renovation works in Malacca, we found an important artifact from our past.

A more than 100 years old business tablet with the name "Sung Loong" was found intact.

Tsi Yam, the youngest sibling, took it back to clean it up.

UPSTAIRS WC AND SHOWER FLOORS TILED UP

The floors of the upstairs WC and shower area have been tiled up today.

The WC flush tank is to be installed to complete the works. However, we hope to glue on ceramic tiles on the drywall at the left hand side for completeness.

The instant water heater in the shower area will also be re-wired up before the aluminium door reinstalled.

WORKS TODAY

Our upstairs washroom and WC are coming to completion.

Senior room is being plastered before the new WC and shower areas are tiled.

Flooring will also be tiled.

TILING UPSTAIRS WC AND SHOWER AREAS

Our upstairs WC and shower areas are being upgraded.

Floor and walls are being being tiled.

Shower area will be sunken for easier water flow. Maybe a shower screen to be added.

RETENTION POND, WATER FOUNTAIN AND PERFORMANCE STAGE

We are now constructing our rain water retention pond. Rain from main airwell gutter will flow into this pond before overflow into the drain to the rear.

Besides acting as a retention pond, we will build a water fountain for water to fall into urns. Water will overflow into the retention pond underneath.

If  the urns are removed, we can use the wooden platform to become a live cultural performance stage.

Performances like guitar recital, erhu recital, Chinese opera, pantun recital and many more can be held.

TESTING WALL PROJECTION SCREEN

We tested our vertical wall screen which can be used for multi media presentation in the future.

We are constructing our retention pond in main airwell. It will prevent overflow water from gutter.

The top of the pond can be used as a performance stage where live shows can be held.

STARTING FINAL PHASE OF RENOVATIONS

Works on senior room and washroom have begun. Washroom upstairs are also being tiled up.

FIRST HOMESTAY GUESTS IN OUR RENOVATED MALACCA HOUSE

Our renovated Malacca shop house hosted our first home stay guests.

8 guests comprising of a German family of four and 4 locals from Kuala Lumpur stayed overnight.

They later toured the historical sites of Melaka before a beer stop at Hard Rock Cafe, Melaka.
