GUTTER DIVERTER FOR WATER FALL FEATURE

In our proposed water fall feature, we intend to use rainwater from the airwell gutter to get our waterfall feature operating.

Excess water from the gutter is discharged into the drain for discharge at the rear of the house.

Instead of not using the excess water, an idea was mooted to utilise this excess water. Why not divert the excess water to create a waterfall effect.

There are some benefits for doing this.

A waterfall feature can be created without the use of a pump. Then, the water after the waterfall will flow into the drain. This allows some water to discharge into the drain after sometime - reducing overflow water to the rear.

Currently, I am testing a simple mechanical water diverter as seen below.
